About Us

Bestbank Track Club Welcomes All Runners

The BestBank Track Club has been around for 25 years, growing from a small group of friends in Algiers and Terrytown to the current group that meets to run, walk and socialize three times a week.

More than a track club, we're a fun group that plans activities throughout the year, such as crawfish boils, tubing trips, and swim parties. $15/year dues cover the cost of beverages at the weekly runs, but can you really put a price on the chance to make new friends that share your love for running? Members participate in local runs, marathons, triathlons, and have an active Facebook & web page to keep everyone informed about what's happening with the club.

other sports

We have members that compete in triathlons across the US. So if you also cycle or swim reach out there are always impromptu training opportunities to be part of.

volunteer

If we're not running you can find us volunteering at miscellaneous events around the New Orleans area giving back to the running community.

Connections

Connecting runners across the West Bank of New Orleans. Several runs a week with your friends and neighbors keeping you motivated.

Frequently Asked Questions

01.

Do I have to be fast to be included in the weekly runs?

Our club has runners of all abilities, and we want you to just come out and run.

02.

Is there traffic on the bridge during the weekly runs?

The bridge has a substantial shoulder that gives runners plenty of room away from traffic, but we ask members to wear bright colors and be aware of the surroundings at all times.

03.

Does the group produce any races?

Not currently, but we do run and volunteer at local events across the New Orleans area.

04.

What else does the group do besides weekly runs?

We have an unofficial schedule of stuff, like bike rides, and a shared club Saturday morning long run at City Park.

05.

Is it ok if I wear my headphones while running on the bridge?

You can, but we suggest that you DO NOT. The bridge has vehicle traffic, and your safety is our number one priority.

06.

What do I get with my membership dues?

We supply hydration at the Wednesday runs and also a club shirt with the snappy new logo.
